Match Report: TNCA Inter- Districts Under 16
Today we are going to view the match played at Tirunelveli. Yes!, It was a Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) Inter Districts match for age group Under 16 First Round match played at Tirunelvel Center.
The teams participated in the center were Tirunelveli DCA, Thanjavur DCA and Vellore DCA. The first match played on 15.07.2014 at the India Cements Ltd., Sankar Nagar, Tirunelveli was between Tirunelveli District Cricket Association and Vellore District Cricket Association.

Tirunelvei DCA won the toss and chose to bowl first. The decision was surprising for me to see a young bud and proved right. They have scalped 5 wickets of Vellore DCA swifly. However Prakash Nathan of Vellore DCA resisted more damage.

Vellore DCA scored 202 in 47.4 overs with useful contributions from A. Prakash Nathan (64), E. Yazh Arun Mozhi(28) and P. Vishnupriyan (28). For Tirunelvei DCA S. Boothalingam bowled well and picked 4 wickets
Tirunelveli DCA was looking to chase in an attacking mode and the result was evident.
Tirunelveli DCA was bowled out for 73 in 26.4 overs with Surya top scoring 29 and Abraham and Silambarasan picked 2 wickets each for Vellore DCA.
Finally and as usual I had umpired with Mr. A. Kumarasamy of Kanniyakumari this match and we are with the Scorer Girwin Nalsingh.
