Match Report: TNCA Inter Districts Under 16
Today we are going to look in to the match of TNCA Inter Districts Under 16 first round match played between Thanjavur DCA and Vellore DCA on 16.07.2014 in the India Cements Ltd., Sankar Nagar, Tirunelveli Turf Wicket.
Thanjavur DCA won the toss and chose to bowl first. Surprising again! But this time they proved it right!!

Vellore DCA struggled to score against Thanjavur DCA and the score was read 66/6 in 17 overs during first drinks.

A. Prakash Nathan (40 Not out) alone resisted the Thanjavur DCA and was unable to rescue from the damage. It was a team effort to restrict Vellore DCA to 126 in 36.5 overs.
The 1st innings ended earlier and there was play for 50 minutes before Lunch. Thanjavur might not expected it before lunch as they were restricted to 24/3.
Thanjavur DCA was bowled out for 94 in 33.1 overs falling short by 32 runs. Abraham and Yazh Arun Mozhi did the damage for Thanjavur by picking 4 wickets and 3 wickets respectively. Captain of Thanjavur,Vishwa alone managed to score 20
Now – a – days, it is happy to witness the spirit of the game amongst the young kids.

Finally and as usual, I had umpired with Mr. Kumarasamy of Kanniyakumari on that day.
