MATCH REPORT: TNCA INTER DISTRICTS UNDER 19 – ROUND 2
We are going to watch the TNCA Inter – District match played at DCW Ground, Thoothukudi on 29.07.2014 and 30.07.2014. It was a 2 day match played between Thoothukudi DCA and Madurai DCA. The first Innings restricted to 90 overs per side and the second Innings restricted to 40 overs per side.

Madurai DCA scored 257 in 79.2 overs. B. Prasanth (81), S. Kishore Kumar (35) and M. Karthikeyan (30) performed for Madurai DCA. Maridurai picked 4 wickets and Jaba Selvin picked 3 wickets for Thoothukudi DCA.

Surprisingly Madurai DCA did not impose Follow – on and started their second innings. Even though it was not the right decision it is the game we have to play with – the positives and the negatives of the skills of the players.
Madurai DCA scored 133/7 in 40 overs. Aiyanar scored 68 for Madurai DCA. Puthiyavan and Maria Sahaya Santhiyas picked 3 wickets each for Thoothukudi DCA. Thoothukudi DCA was set a target of 297 from minimum 23 overs.

Thoothukudi DCA scored 93/8 in 25 overs. Bromeo stayed not out till the end and resisted Madurai’s Victory. Jegan bowled well and picked 5 wickets for Madurai DCA.
