MATCH REPORT: TNCA CITY LEAGUE 4TH DIVISION GROUP C MATCH
Today we are going to watch the TNCA – City League 4th division Group C Match played between Fox Trotters Cricket Club and Perambur United Club at the St. Bede’s ‘A’ ground, Chennai on 12.10.2014.
Fox Trotters Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision resembled like a decision of a strong bowling unit. But right from the beginning they were troubled by the left and right combination. Perambur United Club scored 295/9 in 50 overs. Opening Left handed batsman Rohit Kumar top scored with 98 runs. Wicket Keeper batsman Arun Kumar scored 61 runs from 33 balls. G. Naveen Kumar scored 49 runs. Muthukrishnan and Sri Krishna managed to pick 3 wickets each for Fox Trotters Cricket Club.
In the chase, the 2 quick wickets that fallen within the first 4 overs slowed the scoring rate of Fox Trotters CC and it continued to pressurize all the incoming batsmen to score fast. Uday Teja alone managed to succeed somewhat and scored 49 runs. Murali picked 4 wickets for Perambur United Club. Fox Trotters Cricket Club scored 150 all out in 35.2 overs.
