TAMIL NADU
The game of cricket is governed by THE TAMIL NADU CRICKET ASSOCIATION.The official website of the state cricket association (here in after the TNCA) is http://www.tnca.in
The history and activities of the TNCA are widely available there.
We shall have some interesting and essential things for us to start with.
- It was formerly started as The Madras Cricket Association (the MCA) on 30th April 1935.
- First Organised league cricket in the state (Madras Province) began in 1932.
- The MCA was formally constituted when the major rivalries/competitors (the ICF and Madras Cricket Club) joined hands in 1935.
- Whole Tamilnadu is divided into two groups as CITY (Chennai) and Districts (Other than Chennai)
- 30 districts associations are currently affiliated to the TNCA
