Story Highlights

  • DCAT 1st Division Match

Welcome to My Match Report!

I plan to take you all for my matches from today. Hope you all would come with interest for the match!

Come on! Let’s move!!

Today I have umpired District Cricket Association of Tirupur [DCAT] 1st division cricket league match at TTP Mills Ground, Annupparpalayam, Tirupur

The match was between Tirupur Cricket Club who are last year runners up of the division and Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club who are last year T20 champions.

I’m happy to introduce the Captains of both the teams. Mr. M. Mohan, Tirupur Cricket Club and G. Jayakumar, Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club

The coin was tossed by Mohan of TCC for choice of innings. Toss won by Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club and chose to bat first.

Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club seemed to be opening the innings steadily and looked stranded one stage at 51/4.

A century partnership between TTRC Skipper and Young Bud G. Saran Prethium helped TTRC to reach a decent total and it was late cut shots which offered runs for TTRC to pass the 200 landmark. C. Sridhar Venkatesh scored some useful runs in the end. TTRC scored 230/9 in their allotted 50 overs. J. Mohammed Rabeek took 5 Wickets for Tirupur Cricket Club.

Chasing a big total of 230 was looked like felt tough by the batsmen of Tirupur Cricket Club.

Their batsmen find hard to score big shots and with accurate bowling of TTRC bowlers, they lost their patience. The young bud D. Rahul alone managed to score a 35+ run.

Tirupur Cricket Club managed to score 121 runs. J. Saravanan took 4 wickets for Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club
