Resuming from 195/7, Swaminathan starred for Tamilnadu and effected two important partnerships to ensure first innings lead for TN. He added 70 runs for the 8th wicket with Ajith Ram and 95 runs for the 9th wicket with Mohan Prasath respectively. Swaminathan hit 90, Ajith Ram scored 35 and Mohan Prasath scored 50 Not out for Tamilnadu. Vikas Solanki took 4 wickets for Delhi Under 23.
